IDEAS & SOLUTIONS

SPECIALLY CURVED FRAMES THAT BLEND INTO A HERITAGE STRUCTURE. GLASS PANES THAT GROW IN STRENGTH, WITHOUT COMPROMISING TRANSPARENCY, AS THEY ASCEND AN OCEANSIDE SKYSCRAPER.  AN ‘INTELLIGENT BUILDING’ WITH ITS OWN ENERGY MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS… WE CATER TO A FASCINATING VARIETY OF REQUIREMENTS.

No two projects are quite the same, no matter how similar they look. That’s why, our team of skilled professionals work closely with our clients to understand their requirements, and develop specific solutions using science and creativity in equal measure. Because it is only when the best minds and materials come together, can we create the magic for you.

There are a few metals that can offer comparable combination of versatility and affordability to what aluminum offers. It is one of the most abundantly available non-ferrous metals on the planet, although it must be extracted from bauxite. Aluminum is widely acknowledged to be one of the most energy efficient and sustainable construction materials available in the market.

High strength to weight ratio – In building construction, this characteristic has many specific advantages. They are able to bear the weight of heavy glass spans, an important consideration in many modern office buildings and skyscrapers. The ability to use so much glass allows for more sunlight, thus reducing lighting costs, while also saving on heating and air conditioning.

Air tightness – The cracks that can naturally occur in materials in the window frames are a major source of air leakage, which can increase the energy efficiency of buildings. Aluminum is known for its air tightness and does not suffer the same deterioration that plagues materials such as steel and wood.

Durability – Aluminum is known for its high corrosion resistance. Anodized aluminum is both highly receptive to polishing and incredibly long lasting, keeping long term maintenance costs much lower than comparable materials. Aluminum can withstand both humid and dry climates extremely well.

Appearance – Because of aluminum’s receptiveness to being polished, it’s possible to get smooth and bright finishing that is aesthetically pleasing. Aluminum can also take on any color following the anodizing process by immersing it in a warm bath of coloring agents, making it a favorite for designers to work with.

Versatile & light weight – Aluminum is also much easier to work with than most other materials. This leads to a great deal of cost savings during the construction process. Aluminum alloys can be welded, cast, forged, extruded, or rolled. Another added benefit is that because of its light weight, it’s easier to transport, an important cost factor during construction.

Highest Environmental Standards –  Aluminum’s high reflexivity helps to reflect heat and save on cooling costs. By reducing the amount of heating and cooling required, this also significantly lowers the overall carbon footprint of a building over its lifetime. It is 100% recyclable, losing none of its properties during the recycling process. By using recycled aluminum, the energy consumption is reduced by 90% compared to producing new aluminum.

Glass adds to the aesthetics in modern architecture. Though it tends to be more expensive compared to other construction materials, its versatility, durability and scratch resistant property are the reasons why architects and building owners still choose them. With the advancement in glass designs, more unimaginable applications of glass can be expected.

Transparency: This property allows visual connection with the outside world. Its transparency can be permanently altered by adding admixtures to the initial batch mix. With the advent of technology clear glass panels used in buildings can be made opaque.

U value: The U-value is the measure of how much heat is transferred through the window. The lower the U-value the better the insulation properties of the glass– the better it is at keeping the heat or cold out.

Strength: Glass is a brittle material but with the advances in science and technology, certain laminates and admixtures can increase its ability to resist deformation under load.

Greenhouse effect:  The greenhouse effect refers to circumstances where the short wavelengths of visible light from the sun pass through glass and are absorbed, but the longer infrared re-radiation from the heated objects are unable to pass through the glass. This trapping leads to more heating and a higher resultant temperature.

Workability: It is capable of being worked in many ways. It can be blown, drawn or pressed. It is possible to obtain glass with diversified properties- clear, colorless, diffused and stained. Glass can also bewelded by fusion.

Recyclable: Glass is 100% recyclable, cullets (Scraps of broken or waste glass gathered for re-melting) are used as raw materials in glass manufacture, as aggregates in concrete construction etc.

Energy efficiency and acoustic control: Energy-efficient glazing is the term used to describe the double glazing or triple glazing use in modern windows in homes. Unlike the original single glazing or old double glazing, energy-efficient glazing incorporates coated (low-emissivity) glass to prevent heat escaping through the windows. The air barrier also enhances acoustic control.
